Hibiscus sabdariffa L.

In a while, let's get to know to Hibiscus sabdariffa L.. Also known as Roselle.

Shrub with 1 -2 m high. The stem is woody, with red or purpulish colour. Simple leaf, polimorf, with the shape ovate/lanceolate when young and change to palmate, lobous 3-5 segment. Petiol and lamina are red in colour. single flower, big, five pinkish petal and yellowish spot.

It has been use in Malay's cooking. It's known as asam susur. Hibiscus sabdariffa L. contain high vitamin C that needed in synthesis collagen, maintain teeth, and bone. It is also a strong antioxyde, helps in reduce toxin. Also helps in reducing weight which was one of experiment that had made Prof. Madya Dr. Mohamad Osman win gold medal in British Invention Show at London few days ago.

This is the shape of stomata and trichome of H. sabdariffa L. But the anticlinal wall can't be seen. This is my third attempt. yet still in progress to have the best result.

This the polaroid side of the above image. It is seen as kristal and scatter on the abaxial side. It could be the reason of anticyanin.
